Mission, Vision, and Values

Rise to do what matters most

Striving for a just, equitable, inclusive, peaceful, and healthy world for all living things

Vision

I hold a vision of the world that values the health and well-being of all living things.

Mission

My mission is to help diverse non-profit organizations have a lasting positive impact. Through consulting services such as strategic planning, facilitation, and coaching, I help groups rise to do what matters most.

That idea, “rising to do what matters most,” includes, but is not limited to, assessing how climate change will impact organizations’ missions, impact, and constituents. My mission is to bring together many voices and diverse perspectives to identify solutions that best support organizations’ mission, ensure their vibrant future, and protect our planet.

Mission, Strategy, DEI, and Climate Action are All Connected

My commitment is to help you to plan for the future. To do this well and make sure your strategy sticks, we will involve many voices and encourage diverse perspectives to identify solutions that best support your mission, ensure your vibrant future, and help our planet. Therefore, diversity, equity, and inclusion are at the core of how I work with you, and it drives the results we accomplish together.

My Green Mission Statement

Riseman Consulting inspires non-profit organizations to act now on the climate to ensure a vibrant and sustainable future for my clients as well as the planet. In my work, I seek ways to reduce my carbon footprint. When using power for my computer or traveling for work, I will offset our carbon through reforestation with Health In Harmony.

Land Acknowledgment for Northampton, Massachusetts.

The place where Riseman Consulting works stands on Nonotuck ancestral land. I recognize our present-day neighboring Indigenous nations: the Nipmuc and the Wampanoag to the East, the Mohegan, Pequot, and Narragansett to the South, the Mohican and Mohawk to the West, and the Abenaki to the North. I acknowledge and honor with gratitude the land, waterways, living beings, and the people who have stewarded this beautiful and bountiful environment for many millennia.
